About

Marissa Raine Carlin is a theatrical composer, lyricist, librettist- and recent transplant to Brooklyn. Marissa is a graduate of Boston’s Berklee College of Music, where she majored in Songwriting with a minor in Musical Theater Writing. On top of her passion for writing musical theatre, Marissa is also a singer-songwriter and screenwriter. Through her artistry, Marissa strives to bring her feminist & queer narratives to the stage and screen while illuminating the power and importance of human connection.

Received the Songwriting Department Pattison Award Scholarship at Berklee College of Music- a scholarship granted by songwriting professor Pat Pattison for demonstration of expertise in her craft & exceptional lyricism.
